The Vélo Québec's Bicycle Friendly program (the Mouvement VÉLOSYMPATHIQUE) provides a roadmap, hands-on assistance and recognition for communities, universities and businesses. This program is a tool  to make bicycling a real transportation and recreation option for all people.

Next deadlines to apply for the award:

Community, Business and Campus

• Spring 2026 : April 17, 2026

• Apply for Bicycle Friendly Community (BFC) status : for a municipalité (town or city), a regional municipality or a borough

• Apply for Bicycle Friendly Business (BFB) status: for a business, a public organization or a nonprofit organization

• Apply for Bicycle Friendly Campus (BFC) status: a CÉGEP or university
